Kinga Głowacka (b. 1998, Kraków) is a Polish conductor and violist. She is a graduate of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków, where she completed her studies in orchestral conducting under Maestro Łukasz Borowicz in 2023 and earned a bachelor’s degree in viola performance in 2022, studying with Professor Aneta Dumanowska.
Her operatic debut took place in the 2024/2025 season at the Cracow Chamber Opera, where she served as a music director for Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s opera buffa Il geloso schernito.
As an Erasmus+ scholarship recipient in 2019/2020, Głowacka studied conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz under the guidance of Professor Marc Piollet.
She is a laureate of several international conducting competitions, including:
- 1st Prize – 1st International Workshop and Conducting Competition in Szeged (2022)
- 1st Prize – 7th Ionel Perlea International Conducting Competition (2023)
- 1st Prize – CySO International Conducting Competition & Masterclass in Cyprus (2024)
Additionally, in 2022, she received the Best Conductor Award from the Cantiamo Tutto choir during the 2nd National Conducting Competition, held as part of the Wrocław City of Music National Choral Forum.
Głowacka has collaborated with numerous orchestras across Europe, including: Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Pitești, Galicia Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Sibiu Philharmonic Orchestra, Szolnok Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Savaria Symphony Orchestra, Athens Philharmonia Orchestra.
In 2022, she served as an assistant conductor to Rüdiger Bohn at the Warsaw Autumn Festival. The following year, she assisted Marin Alsop during rehearsals for Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland in Dublin.

From November 2022 to April 2024, Kinga held the position of bandmaster of the Cianowice Representative Orchestra, with which she developed numerous concert and educational projects. Under her direction, the ensemble received several distinctions at festivals and competitions, including: the Best Conductor Award and Third Prize for the orchestra at the 24th Małopolska Wind Orchestra Festival in Więcławice, as well as a Special Mention at the 1st National Film Music Competition for Wind Orchestras in Sucha Beskidzka.
She has taken part in masterclasses with renowned conductors such as Paavo Järvi, Marin Alsop, Mark Heron, Christian Ehwald, Rüdiger Bohn, Michalis Economou, Johannes Schlaefli, Martyn Brabbins, Patrick Fournillier, Rafał Jacek Delekta, and Paweł Przytocki.
In 2018, Głowacka founded the Arco Andare Chamber Orchestra, which she continues to lead as an artistic director. The ensemble has realized numerous concert projects in Kraków and other Polish cities, including Opera Evening, Music for Independence, and Musical Kaleidoscope — programs centered on promoting Polish music.
Since 2021, Arco Andare has collaborated with the Musica Polonia Foundation, beginning with its appearance at the 12th Beskid Festival of Organ and Chamber Music. In 2023, the orchestra also began working with the Private Primary Music School in Bieruń, promoting Polish musical heritage among young audiences.
As a member of the Conducting Student Scientific Club in the Penderecki Academy of Music, she prepared and performed many contemporary music pieces written by young emerging composers based in Krakow.
In addition to music, Kinga is fascinated by acting, theater, and film. From a young age she was a member of different amateur theaters. Kinga used her experience as an actress for her thesis, which was about Stanislavski’s acting method for conductors.
In the 2025/2026 season, she will make her debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic as a Dudamel Fellow. Through the program, Głowacka will have the opportunity to refine her skills by participating in the LA Philharmonic’s orchestral, educational, and community initiatives. She will also conduct youth concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall. She also returns to Cyprus and Romania to conduct concerts with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and Filarmonica Pitești, respectively.
